Weekend Film Festivities!

Here at the Octavio Carlin headquarters, we're more than just clothes and fashion. We also have a huge appreciation for films. Why wouldn't we? We're stationed in Hollywood, the movie capital of the world! Therefore, we decided to give you some fun weekend activities. Enjoy!


Old Pasadena Film Festival: 
Take advantage of the warm summer evenings and come out and join the community enjoying a film together. Old Pasadena features more than 100 restaurants all concentrated within 22 historic blocks, so grab a bite before, after, or even during your movie.

Oscars Outdoor: 
Oscars Outdoors is a summer screening series at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science's new open-air theater, located on the Academy Hollywood campus. The series features a permanent 40 x 20 foot screen, a 10,000 square-foot plaza, and lawn seating (blanket or low chair). Food trucks will be curated by Roaming Hunger and tailored to the movie showing whenever possible.
Oscars Outdoors will take place on Friday and Saturday nights. Tickets are priced at just $5 for general admission and $3 for students and Academy members. Gates open at 6:30 p.m., screenings begin at sunset.  Schedule 


Downtown Santa Monica Presents "Cinema On The Street" At Third Street Promenade: 
Downtown Santa Monica is excited to present its second annual "Cinema on the Street" series of weekly summertime movies! Come and unwind in a unique outdoor setting under the stars each Friday evening in July on the Third Street Promenade.  To kick-off each movie, MI's Westside Comedy Theater will have you laughing in your seats with a pre-show comedy performance.  Bring a blanket or beach chairs, a date, family and friends to enjoy your favorite classic movies and an evening of fun!
The outdoor movie screen will be located on Third Street Promenade between Wilshire Blvd., and Arizona Ave., just outside of Chipotle.  Attendance is free.  Parking is available in city parking structures throughout Downtown Santa Monica (http://www.smgov.net/par…).  Vehicles entering after 6pm pay a $5.00 flat rate. Movie Night at The Hollywood Cemetery: 
It's that time of the year!! An incredible and unique event takes place in Los Angeles every Saturday night during the warm weather of summer.....Movies at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery!!! Bring blankets, drinks and picnic dinner for this screening below the stars. as a courtesy to other moviegoers: no tall chairs!! Dj Tennessee Thomas spins before and after the movie.
